Edric's First Birthday Bash at Flair Towers and a sunday with Thirdy at Robinsons' Magnolia

That's a pretty long title, but that effectively describes our weekend last June 28 and 29.

On saturday, Edric's first birthday. He's the youngest of the three kids of my former officemate, Mina. We were invited over to the party which was being held at Flair Towers in Mandaluyong City. Mina, who used to be a software developer like me, opted to become a full time mom, and as a condo agent with DMCI, on her free time. Since they have a unit there, they celebrated the birthday bash at one of Flair's function rooms.

Photo care of Kameraman. Picture of the photo care of Lys. Lol.

The party was at 3pm, so we left around 1pm, dropped by the columbarium to visit my brother, then headed off to Reliance Street in Mandaluyong. I was with Chea, Thirdy, Tita Fe, and Marilyn (Thirdy's new yaya).

We arrived at around 2:40pm. And since we were just about in time, we managed to get a parking inside Flair Towers, in one of the parking slots for visitors. There were about 8 i think. It was good that we were able to do so, since parking was difficult along the streets around Flair Towers. There were a lot of construction going on, so the streets were a bit narrow and there were a lot of cars parked along the streets.

The party was at the Mezzanine floor of the building. Mina was there along with her three sons while Sherwin was still out. It was about 4pm when everything got started. Lys, one of my co workers (who is also Thirdy's godfather) arrived at that time. Sheryl, another co-worker, arrived along with her beau, Haram. A former co-worker, Bebet, also arrived with her husband and their 5 year old daughter.

The party had a magician (and an assistant) for entertainment. They also hired Kameraman as their event photographer. Lys and I also took a few photos for ourselves using our DSLRs. As for the food, they hired CVJ.

Thirdy was here!

Mina and Sherwin live in Marikina so they're very familiar with CVJ. With the parties they've hosted, they've always went with CVJ. So I wasn't surprised to find that they were again the caterers. And as usual, they never disappoint with their food.

By 6pm, we said goodbye to the Disu family and went home.

The next day, Sunday, we decided to bring Thirdy back to Gymboree in Robinsons' Magnolia. We were there 2 sundays back, but since we bought a Gymboree voucher for 5 visits, we decided to use the 2nd visit that day.

While Marilyn and I looked after Thirdy at Gymboree, Chea used the time to buy a few gifts for some kids whose party she'll be attending along with Thirdy.

As usual, Thirdy loved his play time at Gymboree. He kept running, climbing, sliding and even pulling. There was this wooden cart with a rope you can pull it with. A bigger kid was lying on the cart, and Thirdy was pulling on the rope with all the strength he could muster. He was able to drag the cart a foot or two, given the space available.

Thirdy's always a blur.

After the time was up, we then went to PayForLess where Chea bought a pair of shoes for herself, and for Thirdy. After that, we dropped by at Magnolia House to buy a couple of ice cream cones. I opted for Vanilla, while Chea went with Mango which she shared with Thirdy.

On our way to the parking lot, we saw the grassy area by the fountain, so we brought Thirdy there and allowed him to run around with Marilyn running after him. Thirdy just loves to run around. Even at home, he basically runs around all the time even with the small space.

So after another hour of letting Thirdy expend all his energies, we then got into the car, and then dropped by Puregold first to buy some groceries. After that, we went home and called it a weekend.
